Understanding FedConnect Sign-In Paths
FedConnect supports two different ways to sign in, depending on how your organization is set up. You don’t need to choose a path—FedConnect will automatically direct you to the correct sign-in page after you enter your User ID. The two ways to sign in are:
-
Standard manual sign in—you manually enter your FedConnect user ID and password on the FedConnect Sign In page
-
Single Sign On (SSO)—you use your organization's identity-provider (IdP) issued sign in credentials
Standard FedConnect Sign-In
If your organization uses the standard FedConnect sign in then you’ll enter your User ID and password directly in FedConnect. You can also use the “Forgot your password?” link to reset your sign in credentials.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your organization uses Single Sign-On with a secure IdP, then after you enter your user ID on the FedConnect sign in page, you are automatically redirected to your organization's SSO platform. Your FedConnect password won’t apply—you’ll use your organizational credentials instead.
